Dr. Adel Batri, MD

As a professional myself I give Dr Batri 5 all across the board. 1st let's comment about his staff. Never once had they referred to me or any other patients by their 1st names. It's always Mr or Mrs. I have to tell them ( it's ok to call me by my 1st name.They are kind and always explaining what is being done for them. Dr Batri talk to you and explain your Diagnoses,prognosis and expected outcome. If he does not achieve his outcome,he'll send you to a specialist All questions are welcome and usually have an answer. I have been a patient of Dr. Adel Batri’s for almost 44 years now. When he was just an intern at Cabrini, Dr. Batri saved my sight. I would not even think of going to anyone else. He is intelligent, personable, and has a good sense of humor. But most of all, I trust him with my vision and remain confident he will always do right by me. He hasn’t failed me yet!

One of the reviews above misguidedly complained about Dr. Batri's knowledge and humor - could not be more wrong! Dr. Batri is kind, efficient, knowledgeable and experienced - I've been his patient for more than five years and couldn't recommend him more highly.

Even though I waited a bit, the visit was great because of how knowledgeable and kind Dr. Batri was. A great doc that knows his stuff and is easy to talk to.

I got strong irritation and discharge from one eye and only doctor I can get appointment this day was Dr. Batri. Although I said that I do not need glasses and do not have a clear vision because of the irritation/discharge he insisted on the full exam. After looking at my eyes with all his equipment he said that it's just an allergy from cosmetics and gave me drops from allergy. When I said that I wear cosmetics very rare and asked to check my eye again, he arrogantly said: 'Who is the doctor you or I?' When I doubted about an allergy only on one eye, he got angry.I decided to go to my PCP for another referral to get the second opinion. She decided to look at me by herself and without any special ophthalmology equipment and microscope noticed a small ulcer inside the top eyelid! I do not want to qualify Dr. Batri professionalism but now I understand that the phrase: 'Who is the doctor you or I?' - could not be a good sign. But what was even a bigger surprise that my insurance got the… biggest bill I ever had from one doctor visit!?
