Dr. Adela Y Ortega, MD

I am posting this review for a friend who shall remain nameless for fear of retaliation. "This experience occurred about 8 years ago. In my 25 year history of being treated for bipolar disorder, Dr Y Ortega is the worst ,most unsympathetic doctor Ive ever had. She was curt with a cruel demeanor. After reporting her to hospital administration for a patient rights violation ( my right to be treated with dignity and respect), I was called in her office and reprimanded. I have no history of violent behavior and I thought I was going through the proper channels to advocate for myself anonymously. Instead I was put in leather arm and leg restraints and was told I was being taken to Ancora. It was a successful attempt to terrorize me. I was taken instead to Hampton house. Run away!

Worst experience ever! She didnt even give me a chance to even say what I need help with. Didn't help me with anything at all. My appointment was useless, a complete waste of time. Save your time and money and find any other psychiatrist besides Dr. O.
