Dr. Adeline Peralta Segundo, MD

Saw her on friday, and was describing my symptoms. She not only didn't seem like she wanted to listen, but also cut me off. I came in with a migraine running down 1/2 my face, nausea to the point I was puking and couldn't keep any food or liquid down. Told her I took 2 excedrins that barely took the edge off of my pain, and that I was losing sleep due to my coughing, and was coughing up yellow phlem. Knowing I had fluid in my lungs, (because i was able to hear it every time I exhaled), I didn't say anything because I thought she heard it too when she listened to my lungs. Nope. She didn't. Without even performing any other tests, or even a chest x-ray, she tells me I have a virus and sends me home with cough syrup. After spending 2 days in bed, sleeping away 95% of my weekend, not being able to keep any food/liquid down, i called in sick today to see my regular doctor because I wasn't getting any better. My regular doctor checks my chest, hears the fluid in my chest, gets a chest… x-ray performed on me, and prescribes me medication. Turns out I had pneumonia the whole time - AND it was BACTERICAL - NOT viral like this "doctor" said. Bacterial and viral infections are not the same - I'm not even a doctor and I know this. How my pneumonia went undiagnosed by her how she diagnosed a BACTERIAL based infection as a VIRAL infection without even doing any tests is beyond me. Thanks for making me suffer for 2 more days and making me lose a day of work thanks to your mus-dagnosis. Seriously - IF YOU SEE HER, GET A SECOND OPINION A.S.A.P.!!! DON'T TRUST HER!

This so called "doctor" is a complete waste of time. She does not care about the patient nor take the time to understand the root of the problem. She will rush you and just give you pills to fix anything. Go back to school and learn something.

Very incompetent and rude. She was late for the appointment and came in drinking a cup of coffee. I starting describing my symptoms, she interrupted me and didn't let me finish. Said that is not her problem. Huh?! I was stunned. She just said the appointment was over and left the room. I was confused, desperate and in a lot of pain. I also complained with Kaiser. I don't know wether she is crazy or just rude and moody, but that is not the way to be a doctor. I think she is hiding her incompetence this way. Don't have other explanation. I am surprised that she is stiil working there and is not fired yet. Don't go there, you will just waste a precious time to get a diagnosis or treatment.
