Dr. Adetutu Basirat Adetona, MD

Monday evening I had an appointment in which I had to cancel work for. There was a miscommunication between the receptionist (SARAH) and I upon making the appointment. When she called me to tell me I wouldnt be able to keep my appt unless I switched Dr Adetona to my primary I was confused. Sarah would not let me speak at ALL and was actually yelling over me even when I told her she was being insanely unprofessional she continued to talk over me with a amazingly unprofessional attitude. When I called back and asked to speak to someone else she refused and insisted they were to busy. I then said Id like for someone else to call me back when not busy and again, she refused. I have never ever in my life dealt with a more unpleasant unprofessional ill mannered receptionist! Needless to say I chose to go to an urgent care instead and found a different primary. I later read a review from someone (same day) claiming to have heard Sarah bad mouthing me to the other staff via google reviews.

Professional, knowledgeable, and interested in my well-being.

I had the of meeting Dr Adetona this past month. Her office is filled with pictures of herself which begins to show you how self absorbed and narcissistic this lady is. She acted like I was inconveniencing her, it was our first appointment and I have a lengthy medical history with chronic pain. She immediately assumed I was a drug addict, told me I don't have pain despite having 3 surgeries and an official diagnosis to argue her assumption. She didn't even do any kind of examination with me, she refused to start any paperwork I needed to secure transportation through medicaid. If she was this unhelpful for forms, imagine how helpful she would be in a medical emergency. People like this are exactly why so many have a disgusting view of the medical community. You are pompous, arrogant, and have zero empathy for the people you are supposed to be helping. If you don't like helping people, why work in a field that involves peoples illnesses. I just don't want anyone else to have a similar… experience to mine and will write everywhere I can to get this doctor to do her job.

The wait is always more than an hour, dr takes personal calls while she is the middle of exams an its obvious calls are personal. She over books and then rushes through exams. She is a horrible dr.

She, is outstanding in every way. Weekend access is tentative at best.

Doctor Adetona is my doctor for acouple years,she is a very good ddoc. attentive to my need ,curtious and she listens to what i have to say regarding my illness before diagnosis.happy to have her as my doctor.

I have been seeing Dr Adetona for many years. She is a great doctor and the current staff consists of great people. I came on this site to see her reviews and everything about this practice on this site is in correct. Dr Adetona is a family physician with only one office located in Lansingburgh, NY. How can the reviews be trusted if the site doesn't even have the correct information.

The dr is great the staff is terrible. I had a no fault claim and was out of work for a week. I was unaware that i had a deductible. They charge me ten dollar for each piece of paper they had to fill in first. Then they told me about the deductible that I owed. After a week they tell me my paperwork will be held until the deductible is paid. I have been her patient for over 16 years and never had an outstanding balance.

She is very thorough, very dedicated to her patients. She is more than just a PCP.

Doc is a good person and an excellent doctor.When I am waiting in the office and there is always waiting I see the kind of people that frequent the office. They arrive late and feel that the world is owed to them. They make an appointment for something minor and then spring something big (hence the long wait). She is respectful of my needs and has a very good but casual bedside manner. The fact that she stays in that area of town should say something. It is not the best part of Troy but it is an area where people need to have access to a good local doctor. I travel from Latham to see her and have been doing that for about 15 years.
