Dr. Adrian Dreessen, MD

Came in with my child with a broken finger. He had the best bed side manners and explained everything very well. Very happy!!!

Saw my son and was too impatient to wait for a response before asking another question while my child was crying and we couldn’t hear his questions. After things calmed down he was extremely rude and sarcastic while we asked serious questions about our child’s health.

Was seen by the hospital employed PA -- never once seen or heard from this Dr Dreessen. Common courtesy-- even though being seen by a mid-level provider (PA)-- make yourself known to the patient. Yes I did get a bill from Dr Dreessen and also reported him to BCBS Nebraska for non communication with patient. I may have been sick at this visit--but I am not stupid of who was in and out of the room.

Dr. Dreessen is what health care is all about. Concerned and caring-asked questions and really listened. Not often do you find a doctor with all of these qualities. Our family really appreciated his expertise and care during a difficult time.

Giving him one star is being generous. He is an awful doctor, let alone an ER doctor!

Giving this Dr. one star is being generous. My father arrived in the ER showing symptoms of a stroke. He could not dress himself, walk, or speak well. Dr. Dreessen was rude and sent him home - even the nurses were concerned over releasing him. Within a matter of hours he was taken by squad back to Lakeside Hospital because he could not get out of his chair or walk at all. Within a short period of time it was determined my father had brain cancer by a wonderful ER physician. While the time frame would not have changed the diagnosis, my father and our family could have avoided the stress and difficulties that occurred due to Dr. Dreessens lack of care and concern. I cannot even imagine if he had actually had a stroke, as it is well known immediate care is crucial in severity and recovery of stroke patients.

He was very respectful, took care of my child tenderly and was a very kind gentleman, he checked BOTH of my children's eyes even though the infection was in one.

Came in looked at my child's ear - WRONG EAR, and even though my child was in pain gave us nothing - was in the office for 5 minutes. My child's doctor was furious when we went for a follow-up at his office. He planned on calling Lakeside as this is a common issue with this hospital.
