This office deserves ZERO stars. I made an appointment because my oxygen level was dropping so low every night, even with a CPAP machine. The doctor was thorough and spent a lot of time with me. He wanted me to have a sleep study and to be issued a bipap machine. I waited several weeks and heard nothing at all so I started calling the doctor's office. They said I had to wait for the sleep center to call me. I waited some more and finally called the sleep center. They said they had not received anything from the doctor's office. I called the doctor's office and they said the sleep study had been denied by my insurance company and to just keep using the CPAP. I called the insurance company and they said they had not received the necessary documentation from the doctor. after numerous phone calls I finally had the in-lab sleep study. I was told the results would be sent to the doctor within 5 to 7 days. After 14 days I called the doctor's office. After making excuses, they… said they would send the paperwork to the medical company for the bipap machine. I waited 2 more weeks and heard nothing. Finally I called the medical supply company and they said they received nothing from the doctor. I called the doctor and the office person was very snippy and said they had faxed the paperwork. I waited some more and then called the medical company again. They said they were missing information from the doctor. That is the last I heard from the doctor's office. It has been nearly and still no bipap machine. Meanwhile, each night my oxygen level is dropping to the low 80s and often, into the 70s. His staff never answer the phone. At least 50% of the time during office hours, they have a recording that comes on and says the office is unavailable. they are supposed to be open until 5:00 PM but if you call after 4:00, you get the recording. They are not able to handle the number of patients they have. The office staff is nasty and burnt out. The doctor has no control over has office. If I die in my sleep I told my husband to sue them.

I have been treated for COPD by Dr. pristas close to two years now. He is accurate, non-judgmental and motivational. He has always been positive towards my disease and has always made me feel like he really cares. I went to see him today for a check up and I will never forget what he said to me. I told him I went to the ER because I wasn't feeling right. I wanted to make sure I didn't have pneumonia. He said you should have called me. I told him it was 8 pm. He said you can call me anytime. What doctor says that? I appreciate and value all that he does for me. He puts me at ease. I recommend him highly. Thank you Dr. pristas.

I have had an excellent experience with with Dr. Pristas. I have an issue with the office's inability to handle responding to script requests for medical supplies. There has been two requests for scripts from my supply company since Dec. 7th 2017, without a response from the office. Now I have to wait till Jan. 3rd 2018 when the doctors office re-opens. I hope that they improve their efforts to reply to these script requests.

I cant speak highly enough about him. He makes me very comfortable at the office . He explains everything clearly and answers all of my questions.He treated me in the hospital every day after surgery without rushing out as many doctors do. He called me at home with test results. I definitely recommend him

I had sleep study done and Dr Pristas, is the one who read and submitted the report. On the end of the report it said to please feel free to call with any questions. I called to make an appointment which I could not get any sooner than 0ctobe r- 8 weeks away. So I asked the lady there who answers the phone and makes appointments if he could call me since its says this on the bottom of the report.She gave me the hardest time----Why do you want to speak to him? What kind of questions? You're not a patient of his! I paid for him to read and write this report which says on the bottom to call with any questions and she's giving me the third degree like he's the president of the United States!! I asked her why she was giving me a hard time about this! I gave up, I wont be getting a phone call from him and will have to wait 8 weeks to get any of my questions answered!

My friends and I have gone to Dr. Pristas for years. Not only is his expertise in his specialties outstanding, but he is compassionate and takes the time to listen to every detail. When I had a bad respiratory infection with fluctuating symptoms he answered several phone calls a day over the weekend and at night. He is a true doctor in every sense of the word. I cannot recommend him highly enough. FYI - I THINK THE PHONE NUMBER ON THIS PROFILE IS NO LONGER CORRECT - CALL INFORMATION - HIS OFFICE IS NOW IN HAZLET, NJ.
