I always felt the need to continue my education. I chose cardiology because I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure (CHF) after my daughter was born and wanted to help others facing the same complications. I already lived the heart-healthy lifestyle, and I hoped that being able to relate to my patients in this way would help them make the same healthy changes in their lives.
I'm passionate about helping people in their time of need, making them feel supported, empowering them to be active in their goals, and seeing them improve their overall health.
Before I started a family, I spent many years as a volunteer firefighter at Station 17 in Wilmington, Delaware and I’m still passionate about supporting the vital role first responders play in our communities. Now I’m a busy mom—a football mom to my teenage son, a volleyball mom to my tween daughter, and a dog mom of five perfect pups. I have a saint of a husband who supports these crazy years.
I am committed to …meeting patients where they are and working to develop trusting relationships with them so they feel heard and respected throughout their journeys. This is where the best and most effective care plans are developed and outcomes realized.
