They don't return calls for days (or once a week) - he downplays his procedures as not a big deal and if you have complications and can get someone to call you back, he continues the it's not a big deal until you are begging him to acknowledge what the test results and other specialists are telling you. When a patient is in the hospital for a condition that you are treating them for, go see them. When a patient is calling to tell you that they are still having complications after being admitted and discharged from the hospital, don't just blow them off. It's one thing to be confident and positive. It's another to make your patient feel like they are whining and blowing things out of proportion - there are test results to confirm the ongoing asthma issues and you are a Pulmonary Dr. When you are dealing with someone breathing, it's a big deal Dr Sam, even if you don't think it is. A little empathy and compassion and basic professionalism from your office staff would go a long way.
