Dr. Agnes Hutchinson Whitaker, MD

I was completely dissatisfied with Dr. Whitaker's treatment. As a mental health professional myself, I am appalled at the quality of Doctors given to vulnerable populations. I’m going to be honest with you, if you are struggling with your mental health and you’re looking for consistency and adequate care, Dr.Whitaker may not be suitable. You deserve people who care. Clinicians may be “fatigued” but that is no excuse when people's lives depend on your care. Here are some key issues I experienced with Dr. Whitaker: Constantly late Failure to keep her word about medication and resources Inaccurate documentation due to biases and failure to understand the patient as a whole Repeats the same questions every session that are key details about the person due to a lack of rapport and care. Fails to ask follow-up questions about what the person said or previous sessions

I have been treated by Agnes Whitaker since my greatest psychiatrist who diagnosed my bipolar disorder unexpectedly had a stroke. Dr. Michael Stone was brilliant. Agnes Whittaker is harmful not helpful. After 2 years of trying to have a therapeutic relationship with her for biolar disorder, she has alienated all 5 of my children who despise her and given me the worst advice. STAY AWAY.

STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS FROM DR. WHITAKER. I’ve been with her for two years and the most I’ve ever heard from her in any session is “ Aha”. She is not a psychotherapist. She is a psychiatriast treating my bipolar disorder. But she does not practice therapy. She does not give advice on handling situations, my reactions, has no interactions or ever speaks in any session. She just says “ Aha”. I am reporting her to OPMC.

A doctor that doesn't reply to phone, text or email will not be there when you need her. Too bad.

Dr. Whitaker is an excellent and caring Doctor. She help us with my adolescent daughter. She holds no punches so you can't play her!! She lets you know if you need help she is there to help but she wants her patients and family to do their part as well.

Dr. Whitaker is the best of the best. She has the range, experience, hospital affiliations, degrees and ultimate caring to prove it. Go to Dr. Whitaker if you want your life to change for the better in every way.

Whitaker is a horrible doctor, she is unkind, and does not listen to her patients' needs. She has no understanding of working with people. Stay away from her at all costs!

She is attentive to one's needs inside and out of her office. She is easy to reach when needed. She is thoughtful, very professional, makes helpful suggestions and extremely caring. She gives great care with the use of medications.

She is a highly knowlegeable, up-to-date doctor who at the same time is generous with her time and caring of her patients.She has a terrific command of Psychopharmicology and is an expert in both child psych and treatment of adults through psychotherapy and judicious use of psychopharmaceuticals. She makes herself available in emergencies. All in all, a doctor who goes far beyond the call of what her profession requires.
