My husband was failing after surgery and my son and I needed a doctor to explain what his condition was so we could make a decision on his behalf. Dr. Barakat was the perfect communicator for this. He unhurriedly spoke to us, describing what had happened without bias toward one decision or another. This helped us during a very difficult time. Dr Barakat takes the time to explain evrything he is doing and why. he takes the time to put things in terms that a non physician can understand. he also makes recommendations on lifestyle changes to improve your condition. The staff are very courteous, professional and will actually show a smile when you joke around with them in a friendly way.

This office and Dr Barakat are the type of experience I think we all look for in a doctors office. They care, they are courteous, they don't rush you, and they are very knowledgeable. The office is nice and clean and not overly fancy but functional. I am so tired of overly decorated medical offices with rude and disinterested front desk staff until it comes time to pay only then do they perk up and seem to be engaged with you. Dr Barakats entire staff are warm and knowledgeable and make you feel as though they actually want you as a patient in their office.
