Dr. Ahmad Issawi, MD

Couldn't have been more disappointed with the experience my mom had with this "doctor", whom she never even saw. She was referred by her pain management doctor, to see Dr. Issawi. Unfortunately, she never saw the doctor. At the end of her appointment, when she even asked if she was going to see the doctor, she was told no, which blows my mind. I, myself, am a surgeon. However, I do not try to meddle in my mom's care and let the caregivers she has provide the best care they can for her. I can assure you, the best care is not provided by this doctor's PA. First, she was referred to the Doctor, not the PA. Second, when a patient asks to see the doctor, the automatic response is always "the doctor will be right in" not, "not today. I couldn't be more upset, frustrated and irritated with this response. Second, my mom has an extensive history with her pain and spine issues. She has undergone extensive care with her pain management doctor prior to being referred out. Her pains are… clearly related to cervical spine issues. However, the PA who saw my mom suggested it was trigeminal nerve issues. My mom's most recent cervical spine MRI was from 2019 and when she asked about obtaining a repeat MI, the PA informed her that all the information they needed could be obtained from an XRAY. While I patient may believe this to be true, any healthcare provider with any knowledge about spine issues knows this couldn't be farther from the truth. Than, this PA referred my mom to a neurologist, with the worse reviews ever. I don't know who Dr. Issawi it, but he clearly trusts his care of very complicated patient's to a PA with very marginal training and I would never recommend anyone seeing a healthcare provider who trusts such a complicated case to the hands of a PA.

Dr Issawi was wonderful! He Thoroughly explained the surgery followed through with me with any questions did amazing surgery and gave me the results but he said I would get I would highly recommend this surgeon said anyone that is in need of spinal care

He explained what was going on in my neck completely. He was honest about things that could go wrong; all the pros & cons. My surgery was a success. Best thing I have ever done for my health. Pain free now!

Had two surgeries months apart none of which fixed the problem think he needs to take his PRACTICE somewhere else until he knows what he’s doing it’s not only my quality of life but my children as well
