Dr. Ahmad Zaky Qasimyar, MD

I have had Dr. Qasimyar as my primary care doctor for half a decade now. He has always been professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. He takes the time to explain rather complicated medical issues (and unfortunately I've had my share of them) to me. Many doctors nowadays seem like they're in a rush; Doctor Qasimyar is not one of them. Also, his office personnel are always courteous and helpful, both in person and over the phone. Scott Owen, one of his Physician Assistants, is equally professional and knowledgeable. I have recommended Total Medical Care to all of my family and friends who reside in Arizona. On a final note, the office has always been clean and well organized. Highly recommended!

Dr. Q is the best Dr. By far. I've been going there for a little over 8 yrs. And he is simply the best. I would give him more stars if I could. Nathan was second best but he's not there anymore.

This Dr was absolutely horrible! I walked in to find out the PA I was used to seeing was no longer there with no explanation why. I then waited in a room for over an hour for the attending Dr- Dr Q, who can't in and begin too berate me for the prescriptions I was on, prescriptions I had been receiving from his PA for 6 months. He was arrogant, cocky and condescending. He went in to say he didn't understand why I had never done a UA for his office when 2 weeks prior, I did. He said that sample was never sent in. And that's my fault why? I had provided a UA upon walking into his office that evening, asking for and receiving the sample cup from his employee at the front desk. She wrote my name and DOB on it before handing it to me and pointing out which bathroom to use and what to do with my sample once I was finished. I made sure to leave my purse and jacket with the girl at the front desk. I provided my sample and left it where I was directed to. While waiting in the room for the Dr,… another MA cake in and said I needed to pride them with another sample. I asked what happened to the one I had already left. She explained that nobody saw me leave that sample and that I didn't flow their office protocol, do I needed to do it again. Well, I'm not one of those proof that can urinate on command, so I argued this with her and then the Dr. After seeing the Dr and waiting for another 2 hours, I wasn't able to urinate again, keeping them from giving me the prescriptions. They finally rejected and gave then to me. Two weeks later, I went in as I had for the prior 6 months to get refills only to find out I was discharged! WHAT??? They refused to see me, and gave me a copy of the discharge letter, which said I was discharged from their practice for 1) failure to follow treatment plan (I never had one ) 2) drug:seeking behavior and 3) not taking prescriptions as directed. I've only seen this office and nobody else since I started with the practice, so how was I drug-seeking? I'll never know. And as for not taking meds as prescribed, I have no idea where that came from. There are other issues I encountered with this office, issues I have come to find out weren't unique to me when talking to an office I was referred to and telling them what I've explained here, they asked me if it was Total Medical Care that I was talking about. I said it was and they went on to tell Mr they've had numerous problems with this office, and they've heard complaint after complaint about this office, the incompetent staff and their arrogant, holier-than-thought acting PA's and Dr. I would not recommended this office to anyone seeking good, quality medical care from caring, and intelligent professionals. This place and it's staff are anything but.
