Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim Abouesh, MD

Years ago I was under his care for depression. I was honest and compliant as I know how important this is as a nurse in the field of caring for patients. I couldn’t commit to his stringent outpatient therapy due to work and he fired me as a patient. I’ve never felt so ashamed. I think he is rude and very unprofessional.

My college age daughter went to Therapeutic Solutions which is run by Dr. Abouesh. She was suffering from anxiety and depression while battling attention deficit disorder. Dr. Abouesh set her back MONTHS if not YEARS. He was condescending and very difficult to communicate with. My husband, who attended some joint appointments had finally seen enough of this domineering behavior and agreed with my daughter who was basically traumatized by Dr. Abouesh. Our daughter is still very shaken by Dr. Abouesh’s aggressive bedside manner. It’s his way or the highway. I’m still saddled with the bills and my biggest regret is that I didn’t act sooner to remove my daughter from his care. I’m not sure who might gel with this type of practitioner but it wasn’t a compromised 21 year old struggling college student.

I've had him for a year and I did not actually realize how horrible he was until I got paired with a new psychiatrist. Dr. Ahmed Abouesh is condescending, judgemental, and pushes you to make decisions you don't want to because you think if you don't you will relapse. I leave his meetings feeling worse. I do not recommend him.

Does not seem to be so interested in his patients, script writer - more interested in billing insurance. Treated my daughter, wrong diagnosis, lots of prescriptions, and prescribed addictive drugs. After 3 visits to rehab programs, - seven years later .... I’m happy to report she is doing very well and has no medical problems, ie ... ADD, ADHD, Bipolar, Depression, that he had diagnosed and was treating her for - just a teen in college abusing drugs, - she got his name as a script writer! He had prescribed her meds such as Adderall, Adivan, Topamax, Suboxone, just to name a few , 14 different prescription in total - Would not recommend this doctor to anyone.

As I former employee he gave his patients minimal amount of time. Just enough time to bill Insurance the highest amount. Ask him why he no longer has medical previliges in Pennsylvania?? Run, run far far away from this man that calls himself a doctor.

Doesn't listen to you, makes a snap decision and is then completely inflexible and very rude if you disagree or ask questions. On the plus side, the wait was short.

I saw the nurse practitioner at this location for several years with overall satisfactory results before they switched me over to Mr. Abouesh for insurance/whatever reasons. I was having a horrendous relapse and needed to start fresh on a new medication(s). Though I only saw him a handful of times, I always left each questionably brief appointment feeling awful and I dreaded going back. I got nothing but bad vibes from him and all the other unhappy reviews really hit the nail on head regarding Mr. Abouesh's demeanor and practice. If you're at the end of your rope, this guy might just drip hot oil on it instead of helping you start the climb back up.

Dr. Abouesh is a great physician who took the time, knew what I needed which helped support me through a difficult time in my life. I am very greatful!

Not impressed, very disappointed. I am going elsewhere. I started with a FNP, then he stopped taking my insurance--no one sent me a courtesy notice or nothing!!...so then I was put with another psych. who I saw one time then was told he was no longer there--again no call or notice, finally I was put with Abouesh. If I was not in a stable healthy state, his remarks, and condescending comments would have deteriorated my condition and willingness to get help formyself. I've been doing well thanks to early diagnosis, meds-compliance, and my desire to function in America lol!!! I thought wow how would someone straight out of the psych ward feel?? I know a lot of the clinicians there are far more respected than he is. I chose to take my $, time, and road to recovery else where. I was referred there by someone who thought highly of him...well he must be selective or something. Horrible.

I have never been treated so rudely by a Doctor and his receptionist is just as bad! I walked in his Yuba City office as a new patient and the receptionist treated me so bad an argued with me. When I finally met him he wouldn't listen and even took a personal call from his cell phone! He immediately told me I was depressed and needed meds. What a jerk, so unprofessional! Stay away from this office!
