Went to Hoag Irvine ER and was quickly moved into a private room. The staff were all good and professional. Dr Ahmed was on duty and took care of my husband well. He ordered xrays, explained the situation and was very comforting. Not sure why the low grades on here as he was very nice and pleasant.

He was an arrogant a**. He then overinflated the severity of the visit to run up his bill.

My back had been spasming out of control for several hours, I was in terrible pain, called 911 from home and had them take me to Hoag. He did a cursory exam, told me it was a strained muscle and that he wouldn't/couldn't do anything about it, told me I didn't need an x-ray or MRI and I should excercise more (I couldn't even walk at that point). Told me I should just go home. Dreadful experience, home now trying to figure out what to do next, still in agony.

He smiled to me in front of the nurse but showed me his teeth and yelled at me when no one was around looking and sounding like an executioner over and over again. He introduced himself with the name of another doctor so I wont know he is of Arab origin. He correctly read my blood test results showing dangerous signs but “interpreted” them as normal and even showed me fine prints to prove it was standard practice. I was about to die but he released me from ER and another hospital took me in that same night. This self hating man should be stopped. He deserves no license to practice medicine. He is a dangerous snake!

My experience with Dr. Elrefaie was excellent. I was treated for a hiatal hernia and was quite ill. Dr. Elrefaie was very nice and compassionate. He gave great care and gave follow up referrals for me to see specialist for my medical issues. I give him an A+.
