Ahmed Sherif, MD

Amhed Sherif started me down a path that likely helped prevent my demise. He treated my disease with a straight forward, non-nonsense and direct communication about what would happen if I didn't make changes in my life. He coordinated my care to determine the cause of my symptoms and diseases and move toward appropriate treatment. He made medically sound decisions which were supported by second opinion. His approach does take some warning (as I was warned): he is very direct and expects patients to become educated about themselves and their circumstances. He cannot resolve issues alone and is very clear on patient contribution to managing their individual situation. I cannot thank him enough.

By the luck of the draw, Dr. Sherif was scheduled to do my colonoscopy due after 10 years. I was amazed by the scheduling staff, specifically Lori Daniel. She was friendly, helpful, explained the process thoroughly, and put me at ease. She also let me know how fortunate I was to have Dr. Sherif & gave me a brief overview of his credentials. I was not disappointed! He proved to be a professional in every way and identified with me as a person who was genuinely concerned with my welfare. The medical staff who prepped me and assisted with the procedure was top notch. Dr. Sherif met with my husband and me afterward and answered all questions. I recommend Dr. Sherif highly and will seek him out for any future needs in gastroenterology. 5 STARS FOR SURE!!

I have gone through a lot jumping between health care physicians and hospitals due to my health issues. Through all of the doctors i have visited overall one of the best, most caring, honest, hardworking, and kind physicians I have ever been treated by. Even when I had issues with the financial aspects of my treatment he got involved and tryed to help. He is and extremely well-liked, respected, and accomplished physicians in the are. He is the chief and medical director of Banner Health's Gastroenterology department and has many praise and kudos, all well earned and deserved.
