Dr. Ahmed Abdelhady Shatla, MD

I am a current patient of his and he is always polite and listens to what I have to say. He always has a smile on his face and is concerned about my pain or weakness. I never feel rushed or have unanswered questions. He has done nothing but help me get back to my normal. His staff up front is always laughing and always funny.

Office personnel, especially one in particular, were very unprofessional, sarcastic and rude and of no help! If their attitudes reflect what the doctor is like I would not refer my worst enemy to him! This appointment was for my wife and due to the way she was treated, she walked out! It has always been my opinion that office personnel are there to assist the patients, not the other way around!

Everyone is right rushes through appts. and is rough. Just discontinued one of my meds and did not warn me that I would be detoxing. I suffered over a wk. before I looked up my symptoms and found they were from detoxing. When I called his office, the staff was extremely rude and said "He's not going to give it back to you." I didn't expect him to restart it . Just wanted some relief. Couldn't sleep, couldn't concentrate. muscle spasms, pain, headaches etc. She called back several hrs. later and said it would last 2 or 3 wks. and nothing he could do about it.

I had broken vertebrae. My original doctor left the area. I went to see Shatla, and after reviewing my MRI, he came in and jabbed me in the back with either his thumb or knuckle exactly at the point where I had the break. It hurt me terribly and I had to tell him to stop before he did it again. He is very brutal and I would never see him again. Stay away.

He attempted a spinal tap and failed about 10 times. I nearly passed out and threw up. It was the worst experience of my life. NEVER GOTO HIM.

While Dr. Shatla is very friendly, he doesn't spend nearly enough time with patients. I see him quarterly and its for 5 minutes maximum. His office staff is horribly rude. They consistently place patients on hold for 10+ minutes and forget about them. When I bring in paperwork that needs to be completed for insurance purposes, they fail to give any kind of turn around time. Also everytime you call their line is always busy.

I feel there are too many patients with not enough time for them, need to to a nurse practictioner or physicians assitant on staff to meet the needs of patients
