Dr. Ahmed A. Treki, MD

Ahmed Treki, MD, is Associate Director, Anesthesiology Residency Program and Assistant Professor, Anesthesiology at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Treki has a clinical focus in advanced airway management.After earning his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Tripoli, Tripoli, Libya, in 2006, Dr. Treki began his postdoctoral training at Al-jala Maternity Hospital,Tripoli, Libya, completing his anesthesia residency in 2008. He completed an anesthesiology residency training program at Hamad Medical Corporation, Doha, Qatar in 2014. Dr. Treki then came to the United States, completing an advanced airway anesthesiology fellowship at Einstein in 2016, followed by an anesthesiology residency at Einstein in 2020.Dr. Treki has published research on the topic of tracheal intubation, specifically as it relates to the limitations of videolaryngoscope.He has shared his work through publication, posters and abstracts.Dr. Treki is board certified in Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography. He …is a member of several professional organizations including the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the Society for Head and Neck Anesthesia and the Society of Airway Management. Dr. Treki has been recognized for his excellence in medical education, awarded the Leo M. Davidoff Society Award for Teacher of the Year 2020-2021, and the Leo M. Davidoff Society Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Teaching of Medical Students 2019-2020.
