Dr. Aicha H Rifai, MD

At my first visit I thought the doctor way too serious kinda intimidating. So I was'nt sure about the whole experience but I did go back and I am glad. She is serious but she truly cares and I'v been doing better than I've done in years, finally finishing school this summer and getting on with my life. Of course my parents worship her for the way she helped me turn my life around .They have good therapist at that clinic but I did not have time so I just stuck with the md.

I visited this doctor three times in the past year.she was always kind and listened well. I feel if i have a problem she will know how to help . she is an old fashioned doctor like the ones you go to with your problems. that is good enough for me.

This doctor is disgustingly rude. I called Henry ford and my insurance after leaving my appointment with her. Talked to me as if I'm stupid and belittled me. When she stated what medication she prescribed me I picked my phone up to look it up. I don't trust anyone and I wanted to make sure she isn't putting me on antidepressants. She screamed at me and said if I'm skeptical to go somewhere else she's the doctor not me and told me to get off my phone. I will be going elsewhere and I'll make sure my insurance doesn't pay a penny to her nasty attitude self, she is literally is witch and seems as if she's the one who needs to see the psychologist and lose that degreeg.

2 months wait to get in that is the only unpleasant part. But experienced and friendly doctor and staff. Organized place. Got back to me right away when I had a question using the mychart system. Recommended by friends and was not disappointed. They need more doctors.

Henry ford gets the best doctors I like also dr K in neuro and dr perez my pcp. God bless you all

I have been treated for bipolar disorder, anxiety, and depression for years. I decided to go to Henry Ford Behavioral Services. Upon entering her office, Dr. Rifai asked me what bipolar disorder was. Before even allowing me to express why I was seeking treatment, she said I do not have bipolar disorder. Odd that several previous doctors diagnosed and treated me with this issue (And it is in my medical records). Dr. Rifai seemed more concerned with whether or not I was going to be able to pay for treatment (Since I have Medicare). Her mannerisms and actions towards me were very unwelcoming. Instead of working with me, she talked to me as if I was unintelligent and as if I were not serious about getting mental help. While I have read favorable reviews for her, my experience during my first appointment with Dr. Rifai was horrible! It is often difficult for one to seek mental help and it is very discouraging/ frustrating when the doctor seems to not be welcoming or uncaring.

Dr.Rifai is a very up to date and informed doctor. She helped me continue my Psychiatric care from a prior doctor into hers with much ease. Although she is over loaded with a roaster of 600 patents she is very good at keeping up with them all.

My internist recommended I see a professional because of my struggle with medical issues. I liked how Dr. Rifai took the time to understand the medical problems as well as the work and family stuff I was going through. I feel she got to know me real well. She makes me feel safe and hopeful and that means a lot to me.
