Dr. Aidin Ashoori, MD

I began seeing Dr. Ashoori after a botched mastectomy. I had post-mastectomy pain syndrome, couldn't use my dominant arm, and lost my job. Due to pain, I was on opioids for over half a year. Eventually, I had surgery that helped reduce the pain. However, my pain doctor didn't wean me off my meds. When I quit cold turkey, I had withdrawal, insomnia, and suicidality. That's when I began seeing Dr. Ashoori. By this time, I also had financial stress, depression, and anxiety. Dr. Ashoori was warm and non-judgmental. While asking serious questions, he used humor where appropriate to disarm me and help me open up. He focused on ensuring that I got adequate sleep, which helped my physical and mental health. He respected my preference for a conservative approach to medication and encouraged me to message him between appointments. Despite his young age, Dr. Ashoori is like an old-fashioned doctor who cares about his patients and takes time to get to know them. Highly recommend!

I'm a three-time combat veteran who served in the United States Army. I was having a lot of trouble adapting back to society when I got back, I was in a bad place. If it wasn't for Dr Ashoori ,I probably wouldn't even be alive right now, he has helped me tremendously by getting me put on the right medication and actually listening to my problems and what I'm going through.
