Dr. Aileen Elizabeth Higgins, MD

Dr. Higgins is very conscientious and responsible. She lacks skill in dealing with nuance and compassion.

Dr. Higgins is kind and a skilled listener. She returns phone calls promptly. Those who need to be spoon-fed should go elsewhere. For those willing to work-she's fantastic.

I was shocked to read the other reviews of Dr. Higgins. This has not been my experience with her at all. Rather, I think she is very thoughtful and conscientious.

My dad always said go by first impression. I like her. She lets me share and we are going to talk about my bipolar. I am looking forward to that. She pays attention to what I am going thru. I listen to her and she listens to me. I'm starting to trust her more and more, opening up and sharing with her. She helped me work a day off in my schedule.

Dr. Higgins leaves you feeling empty. She is like talking to a wall. Her demeanor is very odd and made me want to not ever see her again.

Dr. Higgins is unfriendly, severly impersonal and literally lauged at my concerns regarding taking lithium et al. during pregnancy. She judged me harshly each time I told her I was having side effects, eventhough she was perscribing me 5 different medications; she even told me that I was creating these side effects psychologically. After becoming pregnant and stopping all medications, I had no symptoms whatsoever. But Dr Higgins repeatedly encouraged me to take these drugs anyway, even suggesting electroconvulsive therapy (during pregnancy)! Though I pitty her, I pitty her current and future clients even more so.

I was thoroughly disappointed by this charlatan.
