Dr. Ailene Isles Isleta-Florento, MD

Rude, late, didn’t go in depth regarding history, only cared about ticking off her clipboard yes or no questions. Kept interrupting while trying to explain in depth about life. Appointment was only about 30 minutes, gave no insight, was uncomfortable to talk to, was extremely uncaring. Is either narcissistic or unable to really be there for people, detaches herself from clients. Has the audacity to try to validate you at the end, asked at one point what I was expecting from the appointment... overall a useless Dr. only there for the title, has no actual compassion or dedication to people’s mental health. Do not bother if your looking for someone who will actually listen, this woman doesn’t give two turds about you, only herself. Can’t believe she has a license, if she can’t even go in depth or use the entire hour to try to really understand people.

This Dr has horrible bedside manners. Does not ask for complete history. Does not verbally respond when asked for a medication adjustment. Just sits there and stares with a scowl on her face.

I see Dr. Isleta-Florento at her Natomas office. I have found her to be generally empathetic and she always inquires about my life, any symptoms I am having, and if I am staying in contact with my support systems. I have had a difficult time getting in contact with Doctor as her office is only staffed part-time. Also, the person that manages her schedule works part-time as well. This means that I have to be diligent about making sure I do not short-change myself with getting my meds refilled. After a very long confusing series of encounters, I have finally gotten my pharmacy and Doctor's office on the same page - things are running smoothly now. Doctor is occasionally a tad bit abrupt, but I have found this to be the exception, not the rule for her treatment of me as a patient.

I have a high dose of medication because I'm suicidal. The office did not get back to me in over two weeks after I ran out. They called the number I never use so I went over a month without medication. I tried having the pharmacy contact her as well. Not only did I go through withdrawals I tried to commit suicide and went through a bad time of depression. Im not blaming that on her but her promptness would have helped.
