I LOVE THE STAFF AND DR. NARWANI. I HAVE RECEIVED TOP NOTCH CARE SINCE BECOMING A SPECIALTY PAIN MNGMNT PATIENT A LITTLE OVER A YR AGO. HIS BEDSIDE MANNER AND CARE THAT HE PROVIDES IS EXCELLENT AND AWESOME!!! HIS ENTIRE STAFF HAS BEEN GREAT, ALSO GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND ON THE JOB. I WOULD RECOMMEND SPECIALTY PAIN MNGMNT TO ANY AND EVERYBODY I KNOW OR MEET THAT NEEDS THIS FOR OF CARE!!!

Rare to find a doctor who actually listens to you and not dismiss your concerns. Thank you!

I don’t even think they deserve 1 Star. Whatever you do DO NOT go there. His staff is rude and honestly comes across as if they could careless about you as a person and a patient. Majority of his staff are incapable of doing their job correctly. They say they will do something & it never gets done, for example prior authorizations. Half the time I spent on the phone myself with my insurance basically doing their job & calling the manager many times & her never resolving the issues in a prompt manner. Dr. Narwani was told numerous times about his staff and continued to do nothing. For instance, one time I was having a 6 hour pelvic surgery & my surgeon’s office called him to advise that the quantity of pain medication that was prescribed would not be sufficient for the amount of work I was having done. Because Dr. Narwani was out of town even though he was notified two days prior, his office continued to ignore the issue after the surgeons office and I brought it to their attention many… times. We even went to the lengths of writing a letter. My surgeon ended up having to prescribe the medication I needed once I was discharged from the hospital. I then had a follow up appointment with Dr. Narwani which was about a week post op and he proceeded to ask me why was there a prescription prescribed by my surgeon and I explained to him. He then proceeded to yell at me and threw my pill bottle at my face while my mom is in the room witnessing all of it. It was extremely un-called for and i was flabbergasted that he had the audacity to treat me that way. It’s not like I deliberately went behind his back to get another prescription. My surgeon would not just prescribe something unless he was absolutely sure you needed it. After that incident I was fed up with everything and left his practice. I later found out after being under the care of another practice that his office was scamming money from his patients. Dr. Narwani would lie & say that for “insurance purposes” an epidural must be done 3 times before an RFA would be approved and that is ABSOLUTELY false. As long as you already had an RFA prior and you had success there is no reason to have to do epidurals prior. I also had horrible experiences at his surgery facilities. They would say that they cannot put you completely asleep for procedures and the only thing permitted was a twilight sedation. Everytime it literally felt like torture and I would cry in excruciating pain and they all continued to do absolutely nothing about it. Well I later found out that too is inaccurate. Since being under Dr. Narwani’s care I’ve been under two different pain management doctors at two separate times since the first one left the practice to do international work. And everytime I’ve had procedures done they both have put me under using propofol. So I do not feel a thing and my recovery time is literally broken in half compared to how long it took me to recover after having them done by Dr. Narwani. They both have had nothing nice to say about Dr. Narwani and his practice. So that should tell you something. In addition to all this no matter if your having an office appointment or a procedure you better be prepared to be spending your entire day there waiting. Because apparently a patient’s time is not important. You basically have to just suck it up and wait you’re turn. In my opinion, he does the extreme overbooking just to make more money. Not to mention the quality of patients are definitely less to be desired and completely seem like majority are drug addicts and they are there to keep him in business. Sorry but to me that is not okay hence the whole opiate epidemic. Before even being considered to be under the past two pain management doctors care they both did an extensive evaluation and research to ensure you are there for a legitimate reason. I wholeheartedly believe that the staff is a reflection of the doctor. That showed me that if he couldn’t find or pay half way decent employees it’s going to be a complete waste of time. Because if they don’t care neither is the Dr. Stay far far away!

This place does not care about your pain!! Staff is EXTREMELY RUDE!! Upon my first visit, I was told I was to young to be in this much pain. AND after seeing my MRI results they told me it’s not that bad and I shouldn’t be hurting that badly. Funny that when my PCP seen my MRI results he said, “This is why you are in so much pain” and then prescribed me pain medication 7.5mg, 4 times a day and said I need to go to pain management. Dr. Narwani’s PA then tried to push a procedure on me saying it would FIX my back and the shooting pain down my leg into my foot. And that her husband was the one doing the procedure. I then asked about the risks involved, if any, and was told there were NONE!! I asked to let me talk to my wife and do some research. I didn’t believe her. I was told that was ok. They sent me home with a prescription for pain medication. When I picked up the prescription. The PA had then LOWERED the dose to 5mg AND the frequency down to ONE a day. I called back the next day,… and told them I was still in a lot of pain. I WAS TOLD TO GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM IF I WAS IN THAT MUCH PAIN. I was in so much pain at that point I asked when I could get the procedure done and was told it would prob be about 3 weeks. Ok no prob, I scheduled it. I then asked if I could my prescription changed until I get the procedure done. I was told NO, and there’s was nothing they could do until then. Because of state laws. I called a different pain management and was told that isn’t true, its at the doctors discretion. I called to get a discharge so I could go elsewhere and the receptionist was extremely rude!!!

This doctor and his wife will lie to you to make money

Dr. Narwani is a very down to earth pain management physician. There are so many pain specialty doctors out there that either try to push injections on you as the only treatment, or either spend 5 minutes speaking to you and end up simply writing a script for addictive Oxycodone that sticks you with an ugly addiction. Dr. Narwani listens to what you have to say and lets you be honest and yourself in expressing what you'd be comfortable with. As long as you adhere to your pain medication contract he will help you with something that'll lessen your pain and get you on a treatment plan that provides a light at the end of the tunnel so to speak. I would definately recommend Dr. Narwani to anyone seeking a quality pain specialist in Arizona.

The Doctor is obviously very competent, but could spend more time laying out and explaining the direction of the treatment and what to expect as results. Once a treatment is started it is impossible to stop because one "procedure" must proceed another and can go for months without outward signs of success. The administration of pain management prescriptions are done on a 30 day basis and the regimen starts out at a ridiculously conservative level. There is no follow up by any of the friendly staff members to check the efficacy of the medicine and if the pain proves too much for the prescribed pain reliever or you use more than prescribed for the 30 day period--you are screwed. Even though the fine print of the legalese you are required to sign all but absolves the Doctor of any responsibility, there will be no adjustment outside the 30 day period, period. There are good reasons for the overly cautious prescribing of heavy duty drugs given the notoriety of the consequences,… but pain management should be what the term describes, not maybe helpful, but helpful. If it doesn't relieve the pain it is not managed pain. You would be no worse off with regular doctor. The phone system for this doctor is often very slow. One recent experience left me first in the "Que" for 23 minutes. A small thing, but very irritating.

I have been a patient of Dr. Narwani for a few years now. He's very caring and listens to his patients concerns. Very personable and easy to talk with about your health concerns.

Last week Dr. Narwani injected my knee, which was replaced 5 years ago and has given me pain from the day it was replaced. I am so happy due to the fact that one week later I am still totally pain free in that knee. As these injections are only test injections, I am delighted knowing the best is yet to come!! In addition, Dr. Narwani has done injections in my back (a long time problem) which have lasted for more than 6 months. Another success. Thank you Dr. Narwarni.
