Ajay Venkatanarayan, MD, FACC

Dr. Ajay Venkatanarayan is a cardiovascular disease specialist with additional expertise in interventional cardiology. He earned his medical degree from Stanley Medical College in Chennai, India, and completed his residency at Monmouth Medical Center/Rutgers Health in Long Branch, New Jersey. Dr. Venkatanarayan pursued extensive fellowship training, including programs at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee, Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas, and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas. He is board certified and holds Fellowship status with the American College of Cardiology (FACC). Dr. Venkatanarayan speaks English.

Dr. Venkatanarayan practices at Sutherland Cardiology Clinic in Olive Branch, Mississippi. His clinical focus includes treating coronary artery disease and addressing heart conditions that specifically affect women. He specializes in managing myocardial ischemia, a condition where the heart …muscle doesn't receive enough oxygen. His procedural expertise includes performing electrocardiograms to monitor heart rhythm and function, as well as conducting cardiac catheterizations to diagnose and treat blocked arteries.
