He also offers quality surgical co-management for laser eye surgery or cataract surgery patients. Dr. Patel has extensive experience with a wide range of people, including our military veterans and personnel, and as a result has an exceptional bedside manner.Dr. Patel has treated a variety of patients and needs throughout his career. During optometry school, Dr. Patel provided eye care for veterans at the Veterans’ Affairs hospital in Peoria, IL. He also served military personnel at Tyndall Airforce Base in Panama City, FL while completing his degree. Since moving to Texas during graduate school, he’s provided eye care services for the underprivileged in San Antonio, exposing himself to a variety of patients and needs.Get to Know …Dr. PatelBorn in Chicago, Dr. Patel fell in love with optometry after shadowing several doctors and realizing he could take care of a patient’s whole health through the eyes. He relocated to Texas during optometry school and considers himself a “Texan at heart”.
