In 1992, after practicing general dentistry for four years, he then returned to Case Western and successfully completed a additional four-year periodontal residency, obtaining his Masters of Science in Oral Medicine and Certificate in Periodontics. Upon graduation, he moved to Mission Viejo and began periodontal practice with Dr. Hirst.
