Dr. Ajithkumar Aravindaks Puthillath, MD

Dr. Pathilla is my fathers oncologist. He disgnosed my father with stage 3 Nasopharyngeal cancer. He scheduled my fathers first chemo appointment and after that he never returned one call, never heard from this Dr after that. My dad was in excruciating pain and Dr. Pathilla and his office of colleagues completely ignored how much pain my father was in and only prescribed him a week supply of tylenol with codeine which didnt work at all, not even a little bit, keep in mind by this time the cancer had spread from his nasal cavity to his brain. After calling multiple times a day we were finally able to get a weeks worth of more pain killers that dont work. Then my father was having complications after chemo and started having seizures…keep in mind Dr. Pathilla at this point has not returned a single phone call. After taking my father to the nearest hopsital the doctors there are trying to find out his diagnosis/prognosis and additional medical information…the doctors themselves come to… tell me Dr. Pathilla is on vacation. We asked Dr. Pathilla to refer us to a different oncologist/standford/UC Davis or a doctor or medical facility more able to treat and care for my father he refused to release my father from his care but at the same time would not help him. Although I read good reviews and heard good things about Dr. Pathilla my experiences with him and his office is absolutely horrible! No compassion, he doesnt care! No communication! Horrible, horrible doctor! Im extremely disgusted with this doctor Ajithkumar Pathilla.

Dr Aj was very thoughtful and compassionate during my treatment for breast cancer - I was 24 at the time of diagnosis and was devastated- Dr AJ and his staff made sure that I had all the support needed to go through my treatment

Treated me for my Lymphoma - staff and Dr was very caring . Cancer free currently

The assistant is rude. We have had 2 mis-scheduled appointments. The office never informed us of a 2ndry health issue as per routine imaging. Very poor communication.

Dr. A. J. couldn't have been any kinder or more professional. He always takes time to answer my many questions. He treats me with respect. I don't feel like I'm just another number to him.

I was told i could have my port flushed the same day as my appointment when i got there they said no. I waited almost an hour in the lobby them when i was called back the dr talked to me for 1 minute and didn't do anything for me he rushed everything.

Caring doctor and is patient to listen to patient and family's concerns. Frank talk about treatment outcomes. Personable and smart. Not afraid to seek for other doctors' opinions, but also can be decisive about his own decisions.

Dr. A.J. is confident and accessible. He is thorough with his explanation of diagnosis and treatment. He shows care and compassion towards his patients and their families.
