Dr. Akash A Barot

I have seen others write crazy things about this man. He is one of the good guys :). I went to his father, who retired and this Dr is his son... who graduated from a very prestigious NY dental school and is helpful and knowledgeable... The issue is that dentists don't know every insurance plan. In fact, no one knows until the front desk looks it up because it isnt a few different options. Their are 1000s ... Some cover this and not that... So if u ask a dentist if he does something.. he says he does. That's not saying it's covered. If ur insurance doesn't pay... Its expensive. Like 1000+ for an extraction and new tooth. Can you pay it today? Sorry then. They aren't in business because they love strangers. They are working. How often do people work for free? And how often do people not know someone is drilling in their face? These are complaints I have read about this young man. People are mad because they were in pain . Well that sucks but thats life. Keep good credit so u can apply… and get work.done that day, still ... Or keep a very padded bank account for when things arrise,. So u can have cash on hand. People who made poor decisions seem to believe others owe them something. I have a missing molar now and my insurance wont cover it. I dont leave a bad review for the dentist.. or insurance company. If that happens too often, I FIND A BETTER PLAN AND PAY MORE MONEY. Dont bash a kid working hard. Shame on ya'll

He was under the influence of some kind of antidepressant drug and was slurring his words and I could tell the lights were on but nobody was home. I almost got up and left before I let him touch me.

The worst ever

AKASH BAROT is totally dishonest dentist. I was misfortunate enough to come to his “Northwood Aesthetic Dental” office located at 5200 Castor Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19124. This person (AKASH BAROT, D.D.S.) inflicted injuries to me by drilling without my permission healthy parts on several teeth only to collect larger insurance payments for injurious and not authorized by patient (me) work. He never told me that he was drilling without my permission healthy parts on several teeth and I only found it after calling my insurance company. He left rear portion of one filling not finished, refused to complete his unacceptable work, and I needed to complete work in another dental office. Treatment room in his office was extremely dirty with visible piles of dust in corners of the treatment room.
