Dr. Akeza Teame, MD

Dr. Akeza Teame earned an Associate Degree of Arts from Hesston College, a BS in genetics from the University of Kansas and Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Kansas School Of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship (Subspecialty) in Infectious Diseases (ID) from Montefiore Medical Center, the University Hospital for Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY. Over the past fifteen years, he has worked hard to make quality medical services available to the Ethiopian public through Saint Yared General Hospital, American Medical Center and Samaritan Surgical Center. More than 200,000 patients have been served by the aforementioned three healthcare facilities in Ethiopia. More than 90,000 US-bound immigrants have had medical evaluation at one of our facilities in Ethiopia. The wealth of experience gained over the years has equipped us with the clinical skills, cultural sensitivity and understanding that we need to be the most …compassionate and conscientious healthcare professionals we are. We are determined to earn the confidence and trust of our patients in the DMV area through hard work and trustworthiness.
