Dr. Akhil Saraswat, MD

While Dr. Saraswat may be well-versed in emergency medicine, he is not well-versed in professionalism or people skills. Among colleagues, his elitist attitude is isolating. Among patients, his attitude is condescending. He presents a “my way or the highway” vision which does not incorporate the questions or concerns of patients.

Went In to northeast for a second due to cat scan reaction. First time I was treated with dignity by the pa and dr Duncan but the symptoms continued so I returned to the northeast hospital and doc saraswat was my treating e r physician for my returned visit. I explained mY symptoms had intensified with redness more hives involuntary muscle movement loss of words shortness of breath and heart rate speed. Dr saraswat firmly grabbed my wrist and Demanded me to settle down and said it was anxiety. I asked why my adrenal glands are swollen and my speech incoherent witj extreme confusion I also couldn’t put words together and had involuntary muscle movement. He dismissed my history and feedback and told me that I needed to take prednisone and atavar. He yelled firmly at me and demanded me to start breathing right. He couldn’t Or did my explain the involuntary muscle and limb movements temores or Shaking. I pleaded to know why my cat scan dye had not gone thru the body and he… dismissed my questions. He was a louf distance and kirt. He never really said why my glands were swollen since the test did not or show infection. He was very cocky, arrogant and dismissed me with the same prednisone and atavar for anxiety. He was very demeaning, non empathic dismissive arrogant and is not relatable to patients. And the meds he prescribe did not work. headed to northside hosp in the am because the meds prednisone as previous given by first doc did not work. He never gave me anything for the involuntary muscle movements or stuttering I continue to suffer and don’t know that’s wrong. He demanded in a stern commanding tone that I breathe right But symptoms would not allow it. He said to discharge me as he said it was just anxiety. I found that insulting nonprofessional. He was condescending. I would never return to northeast Georgia because dr. Saraswat due to his poor patient relatability and bad people skills or ability to empathy with patients. On my way out he never even said hope u feel better instead he prevent eye contact. Bad bad bad dr doctor needs people skills training and to be more personable
