Dr. Akiko Chiba

Dr. Chiba is an extremely caring and skilled surgeon. She explains the different options for treatment in a way that empowers her patients. She also did a remarkable job on my mastectomy and sentinel node biopsy, the scarring is minimal and I healed very well. She is also warm and has a great bedside manner. Highly recommended!

Going to her, I had a lot of question, and leaving with understanding of where I am with my medical condition, and what needs to be done next. She made sure I understood. Going to NCBH, I know it is a teaching hospital. I don't mind the residents being present when she is working with me.

She seemed very uncaring, was a bully, had too many people in your private visit in her patient room. Those people seemed to have permanent sneers on their faces. If you didn't agree with them their looks labeled you as stupid. The final blow came when she looked at me (sort of) and said "You don't need it anymore so why don't you let me just cut it out of you.) My pets veterinarian gives them more respect.
