This doc is great. I grew up as a Christian Scientist and he knows how to talk to people. The office, that is something else. I had an appointment at 9:00 am. I stayed in my car, until about 2 minutes too. I was the first person in the parking lot, the third name on the roster sheet, but the last person seen, and I am not talking about 9:00 am appointments. They scheduled 4 for 9 am. The doc didn't walk in until 9:30 am. The receptionist or whoever opened the door was about 4 minutes late. I was a new patient, having just moved in this area, maybe that is the reason. But I also had to fast. They scheduled at least 2 for 9:15 am. I don't know I was filling out paperwork by then, but I remember the two I saw. And people came in at 9:30, one of which kept repeating he had to see a doc today, and I give them this, they said they were booked solid, they would call him if they had an opening. At the time they took me, he had left and come back, and was the only person in the… waiting room. And they scheduled at 9:30 am as well. About 4. So my issue with this is my time is important as well. Why give me an appointment if you can't adhere to it? I don't understand why people with later appointments were taken before me. New patient or not, the paperwork was filled out before the doc even got there. As I said, and I sometimes have issues with docs because of the way I was brought up, he was great. When the blood test showed some stuff he called me personally, explained it and called over meds. I like the doc. However, he called over 2 meds. one a cholesteral med, and one an Antibiotic. The antiobiotic can be deadly. Or cause permanent disability. I read cut sheets. I am not sure why he prescribed this, usually get a zpack or doxcycline, but I did. Both meds have similar side effects, which I now have. I stopped taking both meds, and it has improved somewhat. But the cut sheets said call the doctor's office, I did that, got what I presumed was the receptionist, because she answered the phone, who told me to continue taking the life, disability, threatening med, and start the cholestoral med after I was done. They have similar side effects. One is not life threatening, or permanently disabled, and I really doubt a receptionist even knows. How can one know every med prescribed. I called my insurance company, because they seem to have a medical review board, and all they did was leave a message for the doc or nurse to call me back. When they were open. Its now 5:30 pm, and no one has called me back. So yeah, I will go here. I have a life threatening med prescribed to me, presumably a receptionist told me to keep taking it, after I exhibited symptoms that could be relevant, did not put me through to a nurse or a doctor. And they are open and no one called back. Over and above that, I called my insurance company, who was concerned, got the answering service, left a message for a doc or nurse, its now 5:36 pm. NO call back over something that could be life threatening. I would give 0 stars, not against the doc, but against the office.
