Dr. Akram Ibrahim Mohammed Has Elawady, MD

Dr. Elawady is uncaring and detached. He spends 5-10 minutes with his patients. Despite constant requests, Dr. Elawady chose not to contact me as a patient advocate regarding the care of a family member. Dr. Elawady did not seek information about the patient. He remained absorbed in his own position of power and medical authority without inquiring or seeking information that would broaden his knowledge or insights about the patient. Dr. Elawady used psychiatry as a cudgel of moral judgment, legal authority, power, and hubris to contain and gaze at his patient rather than treat his patient. He is arrogant, self-absorbed, and shows little time or regard for the patient or family members. He cares more about the power gifted him through legal standing than from any genuine human place of compassion or concern for the patient's overall health and well-being. I strongly urge you or your family to seek a different doctor.
