Dr Akshjot Puri is a board certified oncologist and breast cancer specialist. After growing up in India she completed her medical degree from Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, one of the best medical schools in India. While there, she discovered her passion for medical oncology and research and pursued her residency training in the US at University of Arizona College of Medicine- Phoenix, followed by her hematology and oncology fellowship at Houston Methodist Hospital. During this period Dr Puri has been a part of many innovative research strategies and patient centered clinical care in cancer patients. She focuses on treating breast cancer patients with the latest evidence based standard of care guidelines and offering cutting edge clinical trials. She is passionate about caring for patients with brain metastases, inflammatory breast cancer, pregnancy associated breast cancer. She also has particular interest in giving importance to discussions including quality of life, setting …of patient goals and patient and family education among others.
