Al B. Benson, MD

Dr. Benson is clearly very talented and has great expertise in the field. However, it comes at a great cost. His bedside manner will be lacking for most, as he is certainly not a warm, supportive personality. The focus of course is on chemo, and we lacked in better treatment of the quality of life issues. We often waited 2-3 hours to see him at clinic appointments, and this was extremely hard when we had many hours of chemo after that. The long waits were really unforgivable, as we were often waiting to discuss the results of scans or blood tests. It is really torture - both physically and mentally - to make patients wait this long when they are so severely ill. For this reason, I cannot recommend Dr. Benson. It wasn't worth it at all, and I regret it.

Dr. Benson is an extremely knowledgable Doctor. He has treated my condition for many years. Co workers refer to him as the "Wizard of Oz. A great man.

Dr. Benson and his staff are absolutely amazing. Each of them projects care and concer. Takes their time to listen and are all up to date with the newest care modules as well as alternative care modules. Very impressed!
