Dr. George Alfred Dodds III, MD

Dr. Dodds simply has a bad attitude with a subpar bedside manner. He is condescending, moody, and impatient with anyone who dares to ask questions. I've worked alongside physicians like this and they are a dime a dozen. With so many reputable doctors to choose from, skip over this guy in favor of a physician who partners with you in your health; not one who seems annoyed by questions or concerns.

Dr. Dodds followed my husband for 8 months and misdiagnosed him with afib.When we told him him he wasn't get any better on the medicine he sarcastically claimed " He didn't make it a practice to poison his patients." We left St. Joe's and he died at U of M 2 weeks later from cardiac amylodosis. A cardiac disease missed by Dr. Dodds.

When we saw Dr. Dodds, he explained the problems I had in simple terms, and drew a diagram. He spent a good amount of time with me and my wife. His explanation of my problem was the best, most clear explanation I have ever heard from a doctor.

We came very close to losing my father thanks to the attitude and inability to diagnose of Dr. Dodds. When my sister and I tried to ask questions, the doctor actually rolled his eyes. My dad had a failing heart valve, it took over a year of begging, then demanding the doctor do something. The surgeon told us that dad was "ready to die", the valve could have gone at any time! He should have had the surgery a year ago. Thanks to a fantastic surgeon my dad is now well and feeling great.
