Unprofessional, poor bedside manner

Dr. Farahat was the attending physician for my 97 year old mother when she was recently admitted to North Texas Medical Center in Gainesville, TX. She had been seen at another ER (not NTMC) as well as by her primary care doctor for a severe UTI and dehydration. Neither provided the appropriate treatment and she deteriorated to the point of collapsing, thus the admission to NTMC. I can’t express enough as to our appreciation of how Dr. Farahat persisted until he determined her exact medical status and the correct medications. He also substituted a new medication for one that had apparently contributed to her dehydration for quite some time. We are very grateful.

A wonderful person, very kind and a great physician. I recommend him all the way.

Awful. Paternalistic -Approaches patients as what they "should" do or want based on his views/values. Not respectful of family caregivers. Disparaging about older adults- ageist and just unbelievable. Stay away from this physician at all costs.

Terrible bedside manner. Very crass and callous in his demeanor with patients and family members. Would highly not recommend this physician in dealing with any living human.
