Alan Akers, DDS, attended the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry. He graduated in 1974 with his dental degree and completed a residency program in Advanced Clinical Dentistry in 1981. Prior to dental school he attended Lynchburg College in Virginia, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.
With a successful career that has spanned over 33 years, Dr. Akers’ dental experience ranges from direct patient care to commander of over 500 healthcare professionals. His goal is to help patients achieve the highest state of oral health possible by providing evidence-based care. He believes strongly in keeping patients informed of all procedures and the expected results, and delivering care with only the very highest standards.
