Dr. Alan Howard Angell, MD

Dr. Angell at St. Peter's Urology rescued me from a nightmare at Albany Med's Urology, where a NP only did an annual urine culture and manual prostate inspection. In contrast, Dr. Angell (1) did both routine procedures; (2) ordered an ultrasound to check on benign kidney cysts; (3) performed a urological dynamic study (UDS) to diagnose a weak urine stream; (5) undertook a cystoscopy, which revealed red nodules; (4) did another cystoscopy to biopsy them, which turned out benign yet mildly chronic; and (5) prescribed an effective daily prescription to regularly empty a full bladder. Dr. Angell miraculously did all this within a couple of months. He is old school, writing and calling personally with lab results. I am eternally grateful that he rescued me from Albany Med's rampant incompetence, where I had ended up quite the worse for wear. Much obliged, Dr. Angel, a true gentleman and genuine professional! I commend him without reservation as the best urologist in the Capital District!

I've been seeing Dr. Angell for many years; nearly since the beginning of his time here in Elmira I believe. I have always appreciated his professionalism and his sense of humor.
