I think I know everything about hernias (ventral, umbilical etc.). I’m documenting my journey in hopes of healing ????? someone else. My surgeon ??????? is anointed gifted wise and just an overall caring considerate man! Berlin Alan J MD PC He was”excited to do it” (my surgery laparoscopically/robotic) I was misdiagnosed for almost 20 years. Ignored! Told to lose weight! Told to do crunches. Meantime, I had eight hernias (holes ??) in my abdominal walls. My digestion was off. I mean I was a complete mess. I think I must’ve rubbed my stomach like ?? times a day. Heating pads, abdominal binders, waist trainers, etc. I’ve had arrogant doctors dismiss my pain justtttt made me feel completely hopeless and misunderstood. Last Thursday I had a consultation put in when I went to urgent care for my finger, I almost didn’t go bc I was hurting. I went and Dr. Berlin is the truth. You could hear the air outside my body. He called in his intern to hear it (basically I had to crunch… like I’m giving birth ???? and where you see the circle ?? he pushed like a the pillsbury dough boy. If you used a plunger before it sounded like that. I felt like an alien ?? lbvs. Y’all I cried, he said “who examined you”? This is “rare” with wide eyes ?? “to hear ???? this” I cried like a baby ????! Bc someone finally believed me.I’m giving my testimony bc you gotta keep going keep fighting you know your body! From the Air Force (military injury) to living in Louisville Kentucky to ATL, and now my hometown is the one that came through, I’m where I’m supposed to be…my doctor ??????? studied at Emory and Grady hospital in ATL. Dr. Phan just sent me to Dr. Berlin to have a small mole removed a little deeper. Normally she does the procedure the same day, in office. However, now she has carpal tunnel and doesn't feel comfortable doing it. Simple procedure with a numbing shot and removing it in the office... She sent me to Dr. Berlin to have it removed & he REFUSED to do it the day I went to see him. He said I had to come back for yet another visit to have it done even though he had all notes and documentation from Dr. Phan. The biggest waste of time & my $50 copay... I've never experienced anything quite like it at another doctor's office. They just want you to come back as many times as possible to get more money!!! DO NOT USE THEM!

Dr. Berlin took care of my Husband; who had 4 hernias. This very extensive surgery, while difficult, Dr. Berlin, made us feel comfortable with the procedure and the after-care. Also, his Staff.. THEY are wonderful too! If you need a Surgeon.. FIND no other, than Dr. Alan Berlin! THE BEST!!

My husband, and I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Berlin, and his Staff. They are very helpful, courteous, and kind. Dr. Berlin has been a surgeon for 41 years. We can’t say enough about him.

My surgical experience with this office is very positive. Dr. Berlin is an excellent surgeon who is also kind and compassionate. The office staff are pleasant and helpful. This is a wonderful combination. I will definitely recommend Dr. Berlin and I am very pleased he performed my procedure. Thank you!

I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT DR BERLIN...WHAT OTHER DR CONSULTS YOU IN THE ER AND THEN PERSONALLY MAKES YOU AN APPT IN HIS OFFICE? SERIOUSLY...HE ACTUALLY WROTE THE DATE AND TIME ON HIS CARD INSTEAD OF HAVING SOMEONE ELSE DO IT. I WAS ALSO VERY NERVOUS ABOUT MY PROCEDURE AND HE SPENT WAY MORE TIME THAN HE HAD TO CALMING MY FEARS. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT HE ISN'T A GP BECAUSE I WOULD GO BACK TO HIM FOR ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING!

Dr. Berlin and his staff have taken excellent care of me. They all went out of their way to make sure my surgery and recovery were excellent.

Dr. Berlin removed my daughter's gall bladder today at Baptist East. I was so appreciative that he came in on a Saturday so that she wouldn't have to wait in the hospital until Monday. He was courteous and spent plenty of time explaining what to expect. I look forward to her going back for her follow-up in 10 days so that he can see what a sweet girl she really is (when she's not crying in pain).
