Dr. Alan Dale Cornett, DO

I'm Dave Reimer. Dr. A. Cornett has completed 3 meniscus repairs, a partial knee replacement and just completed my right knee fullk replacerment. I can't say enough good about his character, personality and most of all, his work. When he looked at my L. knee 4 years ago, he suggested a partial medial replacement. I have played basketball, tennis, water skiing, backpacking into the Goat mountain wilderness with a 45 lb pack. Left knee worked great. I needed a right knee replacement, and due to it being full of artheritis, he did a full replacement. 13 days out of surgery, I am walking, have a +2 degree straightness before therapy and 110 degree bend. I conducted a lot of research to choose the right doctor to replace my hip. Dr. Cornett had great ratings and been doing it for years. I had my total hip replacement two weeks ago! Wow, I'm walking without assistance, but a small limp. He did a great job and has great bedside manner. Well lucky me! I have a total knee replacement surgery in my future and I know who will be my surgeon!

had his intern do the exam and talk to me...he came in, tapped my wrist and wanted to to carpal tunnel surgery...he never listened to my symptons - it took 4 months, horrible pain, and a second visit - I asked for physical therapy...he wanted to give me steroids. finally MRI was approved and it was exactly what I had thought. I had to have my chiropractor explain the MRI to me because Dr. Cornett was apparently too busy to do so.

I was diagnosed avascular necrosis and referred to Dr Cornett. My first impressions of him were excellent, he explained everything he was doing with his examination and how my surgery would be done and what to expect during my recovery. He is an amazing Dr & I highly recommend him.

If I could give him 0 stars, I would. He didn't believe the mri results given to him by a radiologist, and he ended up being wrong. He had his resident do 95% of his job, not supervised, not by my approval. I had no idea the pain I would be in from the cortisone shot, or that I couldn't use my bicep because that would make the tear worse. He barely spoke to me, didn't explain anything, and didn't stay long enough for me to ask any questions. His resident came back in to give me the shot and he never showed his face again. I put a review on Facebook, and two women who work with him rudely made comments about how much they loved working with him-like that's important to patients. Avoid him at all cost.
