Dr. Alan Neil Dewitt, MD

I was recently treated by Dr. Dewitt for a serious lower intestinal infection (diverticulitis), and I was truly moved by the level of care and sincerity he showed me. The response to my illness was immediate, and as a transplant patient, I felt reassured by the hands-on approach and the close monitoring provided by the nurses and technicians throughout my stay. What stood out most was the time Dr. Dewitt dedicated to me each day until I was discharged. He carefully explained areas of concern, laid out clear action plans, and discussed methods to help prevent this from happening again. His compassion, expertise, and commitment to my recovery made all the difference. Having been a patient at Summit years ago, I was struck by the remarkable improvement in quality, compassion, and professionalism. This experience has given me peace of mind, knowing I now have a provider here in the mountains who understands and can meet my special level of care. Thanks to Dr. Dewitt, I was able to avoid… surgery and receive the best care I have ever experienced at Summit Hospital. I am deeply grateful for his dedication and the exceptional care I received.

Dr. Dewitt was one of the most outstanding physicians I have been to. During the year I was living in the area, he saw me every month for my diabetes and weight management. And we slowly brought my blood sugar under control with insulin and started me on the path to bariatric surgery for my weight loss. Without the care I received from Dr. Dewitt, I don't know that I would be healthy enough to write this review. His manner of care is matter of fact, and full of "tough love". It was what I needed to get myself on track. His staff at the Snowflake office was always professional and courteous, and I never had to wait very long for an appointment once I arrived.

Dr. DeWitt is the most kind, caring, professional doctor ever. He cares for my mother, taking as much time as necessary to listen to her problems, explain everything and treat her.
