Dr. Alan Feiner, MD, FACP

Dr. Feiner is treating me for Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma which he discovered very early. Hannah staff explain things very well. I love the way his mind works he's always couple of steps ahead of everybody else. Dr. Feiner has been a blessing!

I was referred to him by two different doctors. Dr Feiner wanted me to have some tests done, my other doctors did those tests and they were normal. When I came back in he laughed at me and asked why I was there. I told him two doctors referred me, "so?" My lab results are the same, no improvement. He basically said not to come back. Made me feel like I was stupid.

Dr. Feiner not only orchestrated treatment to cure me of cancer almost 40 years ago, he also coordinated the many different physicians working with my mother to create the proper overall care. He truly cares and knows his stuff - he is married to this profession.

I picked Dr. Feiner as my oncologist because of his constant rating as top doctor in 5280. I have not had a better doctor....I have worked in academic medical centers for years and know the traits of a great doctor---Dr. Feiner has them all....compassion, excellent rapport with his patients, up do date on the latest in treatments, and a strong humanitarian value.

Dr Feiner is a brilliant, funny man who is an awesome diagnostician and clinician. He moves quickly, but has always answered any questions I've had and has always given me the very best of care.

He is fantastic. Explains whatever question you might have. His expertise is the best in town. I was diagnosed properly otherwise, I would not be here today!!!

I talked with Dr. Feiner today to basically find out why he made a poor decision in my mother's care plan, and his response to me was that he basically had washed his hands of my mother as she was difficult and he was not going to continue to see her. I know that my mother can be difficult, and looses her temper at times, but it's mainly due to the illness and I feel as though he should have made more of an attempt to connect with her and should have tried harder to help her understand what she is going through. I informed "Dr." Feiner that he was extremely short with my mother, he speaks very fast, and throws a lot of information at a very sick elderly woman at one time. I suggested he get some sensitivity training in how to better handle his frustration with his clients whose spirits are not as high as they should be for treatment purposes. In the few times that I met with him and my mother this man mentioned throwing in the towel multiple times, if he were to suggest palitative… care/hospice one more time when my mother clearly stated that she was interested in fighting "no matter what the outcome" I was resolved to let him have it. "Dr." Alan Feiner treats the sickness, but does nothing for the person. Feiner has no interpersonal skills, and lacks warmth towards his patients position. I believe my mother considers him a "killer of hope". I don't recommend this doctor for anyone who is not headstrong enough to demand the care that they should receive, otherwise he may just try and walk all over your interests.
