Dr. Alan Niles Gordon, MD

Worst doctor I’ve ever experienced. Entire practice is poorly managed. Every statement about him being cold and callous has to be true as that is all I’ve received from him. He refused to help a PICC line that blocked for the weekend, refused meds for pain, had no follow up after my chemotherapy, refused to listen to my concerns and called me irrational. The steroids with my cisplatin caused a manic episode and he called the cops on me, then noted my allergy to it after the fact. Sent me a behavior letter for being in so much pain I cussed at him during my exam, good thing he doesn’t do deliveries. Filing a grievance with Emory Decatur and Medical Board

Horrible Dr...in his 41 yrs he forgot kindness..compassion.. empathy ...communication and honesty...he does not do his job on top of all that and his staff is just as bad...they will drop the ball on you and your care in of no importance to this Dr or his staff...stay away.. especially if u have cancer..he could care less!!!

Dr. Gordon is wonderful! His talent and expertise with the robotic procedure is very impressive! I had a diagnosis of uterine cancer. It was caught early and Dr. Gordon was able to perform a total hysterectomy with the minimally invasive robotic surgery. I'm amazed! I have only 5 tiny incisions, and I never had pain, didn't need any meds other than Advil. I was even able to go home the same day! Dr. Gordon is clearly an expert in his field. I'm so grateful to have found him!

Don't ask him to tighten up your tummy while explaining he is going to have to make a large incision ...he ain't got time to be bothered with that said he was tired of hearing that request..I mean after all therebare women that are losing their chances at having babies maybe giving them something to look forward to when they wake up barren might help their mindset after all when these people have had multiple surgeries and have limited options for incision I don't think it's out of line to ask that the last incision made be cleaned up and tightened up so that a reconstruction surgery won't have to be done or refused later down the line for someone who is botched by multiple surgeries that were out of their control. He has no bed side caring manner. If he don't like whiny women then why did he specialize in women health and u necessarily castrate them making them whiny and menopausal . Like others have said he is not very informative leaves you with more questions then answers makes you… feel like an idiot when you ask ...shows no compassion if you cry. Doesn't like to give anything for pain.meds made me wait for almost an hour for medicine ...probably hoping I forgot and would go home acted irritated I asked when my gyn had me on months of pain meds.prior to his visit .... . I won't recommend him to anyone

I was diagnosed with cancer and this doctor was recommended as I needed an oncologist.. The day of my apt it was raining and took me over two hrs o get there..rain in ATL...I was on time for my apt but didn't get there 15 min ahead of time to fill out paperwork...and the receptionist felt she needed to repremand me for being late. Cancer was a new diagnosis and naturally very scared....he does nothing to explain anything. Long story made shirt...his office failed to file my insurance on time......on a few occasions failed to call in my antinasua meds and had to go without them till next day....I was going through radiation at the same time and my lady parts were burnt up pretty bad..my chemo nurse called him to get some pain meds so I could sit through an 8 hour chemo infusion and all he offered was Tylenol....I ended up in the ER one weekend from dehydration and there was no follow up call from him or his office..beyond the very first appointment with him I never saw him again..not… during or after treatment...I felt neglected and feel that this doctor and staff have no compassion for what his patients may be experiencing...It doesn't matter how smart this man is if he neglects his patients and makes it very obvious they don't care..I would never recommend this doctor to anyone and anyone considering him should run fast and far from him...

I believe this physician may have great credentials and may even be a good doctor but trying to communicate concerns or findings or prognosis is very hard to get out of him

He saved my life 6 years ago from Orlando,Fl

told me I had stage 4 cancer and to go home and die now denying he ever said that after another doctor corrected staging 1b.....big difference

Dr Gordon was my dr in Dallas back in 1999. I saw him on a Monday (he worked me in) and by Friday I was having surgery at 22 to remove a 10 lb tumor. Surgery went well and he told me before we went into surgery that I could possibly end up having a hysterectomy. He worked very hard to save what he could and I was able to keep enough to have one child by IVF 15 years later. I will be forever thankful for how he treated me as a patient. Many think he is harsh or may not be sunshine and roses. What he is...is real. Told me the truth and I was able to deal with the truth. Hated that he left, but hope he is doing well!

Didn't work his hardest at fighting against my mother's cancer. Gave up and recommended hospice. Felt he should have tried everything.
