Dr. Alan Mark Gruenberg, MD

Dr. Gruenberg is exceptional in his evaluation, careful diagnosis, and treatment planning. It’s rare to find a professional so dedicated to both his work and his patients’ well-being. Dr. Gruenberg is one of the most intelligent people you will meet. He is able to bring together his core knowledge, his training, his past experiences along with his keen observations to determine really what is going on to properly treat you in the shortest amount of time possible. There is a lot more art to this than science. Dr Gruenberg is able to bring it all together to provide you with the best treatment anywhere in the world. Sometimes it might take a little bit of time to get everything worked out and on track. You need to hang in there, listen very clearly to the doctor, provide as much clear feedback as possible as often as possible. You are in partnership working closely with him to work through your issues. He is very caring. Very professional. And everything he does is based on facts. He does not take a lot of guesses like these other doctors and tries all sorts of crazy things and treats you like a guinea pig. He is very methodical. And he is a very nice man.… Having been treated by Dr. Gruenberg is the closest thing to a miracle I will probably ever encounter. And I am not overstating anything. I do not know if this is anonymous but if there is some way you would like to reach out to me please do. And if you think this is somehow a paid review because it is so positive of course this is not a paid review. If you are seeing a different doctor at the moment and are questioning your current doctor please give Dr. Gruenberg a call. Please know if you are not happy with your doctor there are much better doctors out there. I was with very bad doctors prior to Dr. Gruenberg. And I thought it was me and not the doctor. I cannot say for sure if your current doctor is not any good but please at least try one two or three additional doctors until you find the one that properly treats you. Whatever you are going through is 100% temporary. Please hang in there it will definitely get better, much better. You are a great person with a lot of great qualities. You can definitely get through whatever it is you're going through.

I consulted with him in the hospital in the early 90's,. I was crying me eyes out and he didn't even spend a minute with me. He put me on an anti-psychotic with no explanation. Disgraceful doctor.

Dr Gruenberg is intelligent, caring and knows his stuff. He is not inexpensive but if you are looking for a serious turn around please reach out to him. He will evaluate you, and will keep evaluating you and helping you because he really cares and he has the exp. behind it to cause a real change in your treatment.

I am a healthcare professional myself and I have in the past visited Dr. Gruenberg going on for several years. I can truly say that I would recommend him to anyone. Dr. Gruenberg is a world class psychiatrist. He combines great scientific and clinical training with personal honest caring about the individual. He is very knowledgeable about the correct diagnosis and also about the different types of treatments and particularlyl medications available and fine points of treatment that can make a difference. He is also up to date on the new developments of clinical and scientific theory and treatments.

My psychiatrist had me "consult" with Dr. Gruenberg on two separate occasions while I was hospitalized in the early 1990s. The first visit he spent 8-10 minutes with me and he did not do any in-depth analysis to try and understand me and what problems I was going through. He only asked me a series of very general questions. The second visit he spent ten seconds with me because I could not compose myself and he had the confidence and audacity to suggest a medication to my psychiatrist. These "consultations" were grotesque displays of psychiatry and they did not qualify or were worthy of any sort of medical science. This was an embarrassment and to say that I was disappointed is a gross understatement. I only wonder what fee he charged the hospital.

He is an excellent doctor. He has the highest credentials. He helps with personal issues and is also very good with the medical part such as different meds. He is academically oriented but also helpful with daily situations which can make ones life a little easier. I think the mind is the most difficult part of the human when it needs a tune up and "to get it right". And he is as close to getting the best advice from a fellow as one might expect or the right meds.

Dr. Gruenburg saved my life. He is super smart and caring. Most importantly, he gets the diagnosis and treatment right. No other doctor was able to help me with my anxiety and depression. I highly recommend him.

DIsappointing because no improvement despite many months of high doses of drugs with dangerous side effects.
