Dr. Alan Akira Hasegawa, MD

I’ve been a patient with Laurete for 16 years, and Dr. Hasegawa is by far the best psychiatrist the clinic has ever offered. He is one of the only physicians who really listens, and definitely the only who can precisely explain my condition. He’s understanding and reassuring. He doesn’t push medications, but prescribes what’s needed. He’s a kind gentle soul. Psychiatry needs more knowledge and understanding physicians like Dr. Hasegawa.

After reviewing and deciding to see this Doctor, the scheduling lady told me he was about Prescriptions and Prescription management and not therapy. It took a lot for me to even get up the nerve to call for help and the lady just turned me away. Everything here and on my United Healthcare Site said he was a therapist and he specialized in the things I needed. I now am unsure if I will carry through at all. Thanks for nothing.

A life saving, gentle doctor.

Unfortunately I spent years with this doctor and he became frustrated about a diagnosis and how to treat me. I have to start over with a better situation, He began making remarks about my integrity. I had to get away from that situation..

I have been seen by Dr. Hasegawa for many years through various stages of my anxiety & depression. I have never felt uncomfortable with him, & I trust him implicitly with our decisions concerning my care. He's very knowledgeable & professional without being clinical in manner. He is fair, & encourages you to participate in your health decisions. Top notch!

After my previous MD retired, I made an appointment with Dr. Hasagawa, and after ONE visit I fina felt like I'd found a doctor who not only listened to me, but actually UNDERSTOOD me. Most doctors just write you off as "depressed" and send you on your way with a script. He's most certainly not that type of physician. The front desk ladies Erin and Cindy are always delightful to see as well. That whole office group is phenomenal. I'd highly recommend.

I think Dr.Hasagawa if very conscience of your problems and he also is very careful of the drugs he uses to treat your particular problem. I have gone to a lot of doctors over 30 years and he is in the top 2 I have found to be effective and a caring person. I feel lucky to have finally found him.
