Dr. Alan Dean Jensen, MD

Dr Jensen & his nurse Diane have forever changed my life, for the better. I have never in my life felt so validated and heard as a patient. I started going there at an extremely troubled time in life after a sequence of traumatic events. My mental health has improved exponentially. He’s brilliant, you know that feeling when you meet someone and you’re like ‘oh wow this person is extremely intelligent’ now mix that with a very compassionate person and that has been my experience. Only complaint is I didn’t cross paths with him 20 years ago. I saw others complaining about wait times, that hasn’t been my experience, but things happen and they run a skeleton crew. However, I would legit will wait as long as I need to, because there’s legit not another doctor I know of that is good. He’s just a normal guy too, no pompous ‘holier than thou,’ just a genuine motivation to care.

I went to see Dr. Jensen because I read a lot of good reviews. But my experience was anything but good. I made an appointment for a Monday, I was called by the office to confirm my Tuesday appointment, they rescheduled my appointment without even asking me and almost tried to act like it was my error. When I called back to reschedule a different person confirmed they moved my day without contacting me. The receptionist and nurse are very kind and that’s the only reason I didn’t rate 1 star. When I got to my appointment I arrived 20 minutes early to do paperwork. I was brought to a patient room 50 minutes after my scheduled time and was then told it would be at least 30 more minutes of waiting. The reviews said you might wait, but for an hour an a half?!? I explained that I was there because I’m having trouble coping with my busy schedule and get anxious about it and that it is torture to waist time that I don’t have. The receptionist told me that SOMETIMES PEOPLE WAIT 3 HOURS !!!!!… That’s insanely rude, unprofessional, and inconsiderate to patients. I would not recommend this office unless you have nothing better to do than sit. Furthermore, I understand that he maybe gives a little (or a lot) of extra time to patients who need it, but that is no excuse to disrespect other patients. If someone needs longer than their schedule time, they should wait for 3 hours. I cried when I left because it took a lot of guts for me to make a mental health appointment and a lot to go that day. Now I will have to start all over again to find help and I’m just not sure I want to or am mentally ready to do it again.

Amazing old school doctor who truly cares about his patients and their wellbeing. Actually spends time with you to explain how you are and any tests you need done. Works towards your health goals with you and holds you accountable. Excellent bedside manner, awesome attitude and very funny but also extremely intelligent and knowledgeable about your health. Amazing staff! Have been seeing him for 11 years and will continue seeing him as long as he's in practice. I can't imagine going to another doctor!

The best doctor I have ever been to

Dr. Jensen is the only Doctor that I trust with my eyesight. He is very thorough in his exams. Dr. Jensen explains your eye care in understandable layman's terms. Mrs. Jensen is also very helpful.

He's one of the best! He is very clear as to what's happened, is going to happen and end result. He truly cares about his patients, and is totally booked with patients. In my 11 year experience, I have often heared that he doesn't have any openings for new patients. Too many keep coming back.

Traveled out of town and had a disappoing experience while sick out of state.

I've gone to him for several years. He saved my life!

You may have to wait a bit, however he is a great doctor who care deeply for his patients.
