Dr. Alan Victor Jones, MD

My father has been a patient of Dr. Jones for many years. Dr. Jones refused to sign paperwork stating my father's medical dx and condition related to needing assistance with activities of daily living and caregiver support due to terminal illness. Dr. Jones stated that my PCP needed to complete and sign the necessary paperwork in order for me to qualify for FMLA. Bottom line is my PCP can not sign paperwork stating my father's medical need for assistance since my father was not a patient of my PCP. Due to the fact that he refused to sign said paperwork my approval for eligibility for FMLA was delayed by 7 days. I work in a profession where we are frequently looking for qualified caregivers for patients. I was appalled by the fact that he was, in essence, compromising the care of his patient by refusing to sign paperwork to provide the necessary support services for a long time patient of his. The bottom line is that if my father was healthy enough to schedule an office appointment… so that Dr. Jones generated money he might have signed the paperwork. I would consider a different MD that is more concerned about his patient's overall care and not just about office visits to generate money.

Dr. Alan Jones â?? Northwest Medical Associates â?? 222 NE Park Plaza Dr. Ste. 100, Vancouver, WA 98684 Dr. Jones does not provide attentive and patient focused care. He does not listen to feedback from patients or patient care givers on how they are doing with medical issues and side effects of prescribed medication. He does not proactively research patient medical problems. After my mother was hospitalized and almost past away due to hypothermia, we asked Dr. Jones for a referral to a specialist (Endocrinologist). Instead of discussing the patientâ??s condition; he got very defensive and allowed his ego to get in the way. He was very unprofessional in his communication. Quote: â??Look at her, your mother is 82 years old, and people die.â?? My mother was sitting right there when he made this statement. Dr. Jones does not live up to the Hippocratic Oath. In my opinion, he should retire from medical practice.

Dr Jones, has been my primary care doctor for over 10 yrs and i have found he's an excellent dr and have referred several of my friends/co-workers to him.

I've been a patient of Dr. Jones' for over 10 years. I transferred under his care after another provider miss-diagnosed a near fatal condition I had. Since I've been with Dr. Jones his prognosis' have been spot on, he spends the time with me during a visit that I need answering all questions I have (which may contribute to a bit longer wait time), runs the tests needed to accurately assess symptoms I've experienced, and generally seems to care about my health and me as a person.I'm fairly particular with who I see which is why I tried a number of different providers when I moved to this area. Dr. Jones meets the high standards I've set for a provider and I have no reservations with approaching him with any condition I may experience. Needless to say I'm very satisfied with his services which I feel are about as good as they get.

Very likable and caring. I don't understand these other ratings that are so low on him. But there are grumpy people wherever you go.

My experience with this Dr was very poor to say the least. It seems as if he has a littlem man complex. He was running seriously late and did not apologize. He branded my requests for testing as stupid and didn't feel like he needed to explain himself. He also seemed uncomfortable as he did not look me in the eyes when we spoke to eachother. I like to call people like this educated idiots!
