Dr. Alan Jeffrey Karp, MD

I have a very unique allergy. The last Gastroenterologist I went to did not listen and I almost had a anaphylactic episode. Dr. Alan Karp not only did he listen he went beyond my expectation to not only make me feel safe but to insure my safety. If anyone ever asked I would give him the highest recommendation.

Only problem I have had with his office is return calls to patients. They do not call back

The above evaluation does not include where my procedure was performed. My colonoscopy was performed at the Endoscopy Center of El Paso. I did not have to wait over 5 minutes. Except for the receptionist, everyone was really friendly, professional, knowledgable, considerate and efficient. Dr. Karp was on time; we visited before and after the procedure, and he even went to get my husband from the waiting room after he dictated his procedure note. Warren Cusick, CRNA was awesome! Pedro Garcia, Tech, even brought me warm blankets. I left with a copy of my procedure report and pictures. Great experience. I am an RN so I found myself evaluating everyone's performance and was really satisfied with the experience.

Dr Karp is an excellent Dr, he did my colonascope i really trust him with my life.

Dr. Karp is a very caring and knowlegable doctor who really cares for his patients. I've had several doctors around town who say that Karp is one of the best Gastroenterologist in El Paso. He took care of me 4 years ago when I lost 3/4 of my blood supply, as well as a colonoscopy and endoscopy recently. No issues whatsoever and he is always kind, gentle, and smiling. So 5 stars for Dr. Karp not only from me, but from the medical profession here in El Paso.
