Dr. Alan Bruce Levy, MD

I saw Dr. levy for many years for depression and anxiety. He was always pleasant and flexible so I could be seen. His assistant Danielle was awesome and very nice. She always confirmed appointments and sent insurance paperwork in a timely manner. I realize many doctors have high fees but Dr. Levy were really high and increased each year. I was able to get my medicine from a family physician so I quit going to see him. Never heard from him.

This is a joke, will not let you twll your story. Just a hired signature for Big Pharma company and myself injured and just played games with my health. Jyst paid for the signature discrediting a 12 year illness and Doctors medications, to none. Delayed treatment caused chronic pain, never healing injury as a game a Big Pharma Company caused this treatment and anxiety attacks. Delays medication so withdraws around holidsys. Pay my own pain mgmt injury stuck with the rest of my life.

Dr. Levy is an excellent doctor. He is very knowledgeable in his field. He cares and has an great staff, his assistant Danielle is great and follows up and confirms appointments and is responsive. She has been with him for over 12 years. He is a bit expensive however.

Dr. Levy is an excellent psychiatrist. He cares very much for his patients.

Appointments only last about ten minutes after initial assessment and are quite expensive. They consist of him asking a bunch of yes/no questions about symptoms and side effects of meds after which he will write a prescription. Got the feeling it's just a business to him.

At first I was reluctant about going to see him because of the price; however, no other psychiatrist was accepting new patients or it would take 4 months to be seen. So he was my last resort and he has helped me SO much. It easy to schedule an appointment, virtually no wait at all, and he is extremely smart. He can distinguish what is truly going on. Nothing is more important than mental health so you get what you pay for.

Asks the same questions each appointment. Didn't really lesten and offered advice that was deemed inappropriate after discussing with other psychologist and therapist. Shouldn't see as a therapist as that was not helpful; okay for med. reviews.

Dr. Levy worked with me for quite some time dealing with depression and an out of whack Circadian rhythm sleep disorders. While consistently answering the same questions time and time again (quite monotonous but I was willing to do so if the approach led to results), and following his advice to the tea (including meds), I didn't get much in terms of results. While I feel he has quite a great deal of knowledge, I don't believe he is skilled listening to his patients to tap into root problems that go beyond systematic diagnostic protocols (at least this was my experience).
