Dr. Alan Ira Newman, DDS

Dr Newman was my dentist when I was a child. It was an absolutely awful experience. I still have some PTSD from it. I would NEVER take my child to him!

He is rude to and mean to my son he made him cry the last time he went to the dentist. My son will not be going there again

My son has special needs! He refused to wear the nose thing because he had a stuffed up nose! So he was mad ( he’s been diagnosed with these problems and it is documented in their file ) he did kick a door frame.. not hard enough to do any damage and DR. Newman yelled at my son and told him he was out! Very unprofessional if you ask me because they knew my son has issues and decided it was ok to yell at my child! He didn’t do any damage to they’re property! The last time we were there they told my oldest son that his younger brother was a devil crier... they are very judgmental and rude they don’t know how to handle children with special needs and they make parents feel uncomfortable and talk down on us!!! I will never make my children go back to these unprofessional people!!! I will never recommend them either!!!!

Dr. Newman is a great dentist. My son was so scared of dentists and had refused to even open his mouth for others, but Dr. Newman and his staff was very caring and patient. My done loves going to the dentist now. Been going to Dr. Newman for 4 years now and have had no issues. The staff are all very friendly.

Terrible experience. This office informed us that it was their policy to allow parents to accompany children in the exam room. Based on that we made an appointment and made the trip. When we arrived we were told that they had not even attempted to get our records despite what they had said at the time we made an appointment. The dentist absolutely refused to allow either parent in the exam room because he was "uncomfortable" with having a nine year old have a patent in the room for any reason. He had zero concern for our comfort level with a stranger being alone in an exam room with our child under sedation and cared even less about how that looks. Very creepy. This likely explains the empty exam rooms and ease of getting an appointment. Zero trust in this guy. He also added services to his bill that he was aware we're not covered, that we did not ask for and had been addressed by another dentist, all of which he was aware of. We left. Yuck.
